Job Description

The Day Porter reports directly to the Director of Plant Operations and is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation for all buildings on Main Campus during business hours. The primary areas of focus for the Day Porter are restrooms, but the position also requires cleaning in other areas including but not limited to conference rooms, workrooms, lounges, lobbies, and hallways. Clean and sanitize all components of restrooms including commodes, urinals, sinks, countertops, walls, floors, partitions, etc. Continuously monitor and stock restrooms with paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer Regularly wiping down door handles, elevator buttons, handrails, and lobby surfaces. Sweeping entry ways and vacuum as needed. Respond to real-time spill clean up Dust furniture and equipment. Clean windows as needed. Empty trash cans and recycling bins. Identify and report maintenance issues. Event support including Civic Center Remove litter from buildings and grounds as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.
Education and Experience Required :
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with approval required by the College's Liability Insurance Carrier.
Education and Experience Preferred :
Commercial or institutional housekeeping experience. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
