Janitorial Worker

Job Overview A & A Commercial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to service multiple Food Lion locations in Kinston, NC. This position requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and follow detailed cleaning procedures. Schedule Store 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (5 days/week) Store 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday (5 days/week)

Shift Time:

7:15 AM - 9:30 AM Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain all assigned areas including: Sales floor, vestibules, and seating areas Lunchroom and breakroom Manager's office and corridors Cash office and service desk Garden coolers Sweep, mop, scrub, and burnish floors to company standards Perform detail cleaning of corners and edges on a rotating schedule Remove debris, stickers, and obstacles prior to cleaning Operate cleaning equipment such as walk-behind scrubbers and burnishers Follow proper cleaning procedures and use designated cleaning products Coordinate with store staff to access cleaning areas Report any issues or concerns to management Requirements Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred (not required) Ability to work early morning shifts consistently Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to work independently and efficiently Reliable transportation required Must be dependable and punctual Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing and scrubbing.
