Afternoon Cleaner/Floater (Part-Time)

Position Overview Nebo Crossing Junior Academy is seeking a dependable and hardworking team member to join our staff as an Afternoon Cleaner with Floater responsibilities . This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children and staff. This is a set schedule position (3-5 PM, Monday-Friday) , with the opportunity for additional hours as a floater when coverage is needed. Primary Responsibilities (Evening Cleaner) Assist classrooms with daily cleaning tasks, including: Trash removal Vacuuming Sweeping and mopping floors Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms Restocking classroom supplies Support teachers by completing cleaning tasks they are unable to get to during the day Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the center Additional Responsibilities (Floater Role) Be available for flexible hours outside of the set 3-5 PM shift when needed Provide classroom coverage when staff are absent Assist in all age groups (infants through Pre-K) Perform duties such as: Diapering Feeding Assisting with activities and crafts Supporting learning and classroom routines Help maintain a positive and structured classroom environment Qualifications Dependable and punctual (attendance is very important) Strong work ethic and ability to stay on task Able to work at a steady pace and manage time effectively Good problem-solving skills Strong communication skills Comfortable working with young children (infants-Pre-K) Flexible and willing to assist where needed Additional Information All candidates must be able to pass required background checks Experience in childcare is preferred but not required Why Join Us?
