Job Description
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for managing one large account or multiple smaller accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. This position provides leadership to frontline supervisors and janitorial staff while maintaining operational excellence, safety, quality standards, and budget expectations. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities Supervise and support approximately 10-20 janitorial employees across assigned account(s). Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate daily operations to ensure quality service and contract compliance. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations are consistently met. Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop employees to promote engagement, accountability, and performance. Schedule staff and manage attendance to ensure appropriate coverage for all assigned locations. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and proactive problem-solving. Respond promptly to customer concerns and implement effective solutions. Monitor labor, supplies, and operating expenses to meet budget expectations. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for administrative, operational, and regulatory purposes. Evaluate equipment and supply needs and make purchasing recommendations. Assist in developing and managing account operating budgets. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and all applicable safety procedures. Promote and model the company's core values, culture, and commitment to excellence. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsSkills & Abilities Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (MVR required). Reliable transportation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities. Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn company software. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Previous supervisory or leadership experience required. Experience in janitorial, custodial, environmental services, facilities management, or a related field preferred. Experience with employee coaching, performance management, scheduling, and team development preferred. Working knowledge of human resources policies, safety procedures, and employment practices preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing as needed. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call as business needs require.
Compensation & Benefits Position Type:
Full-Time Salary:
