Overview Join our dynamic facilities team as a Custodian Maintenance professional, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our environment clean, safe, and welcoming! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our facilities through a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks. Your proactive approach will ensure that our spaces are not only visually appealing but also safe and functional for everyone who enters. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your cleaning expertise, janitorial experience, and maintenance skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance across all surfaces. Carry out custodial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are hygienic and well-maintained. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting (including residential painting), and equipment upkeep to support operational efficiency. Support industrial cleaning projects by using specialized cleaning tools and techniques to handle large-scale or heavy-duty cleaning requirements. Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors. Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance activities, supplies inventory, and incident reports to ensure accountability and smooth operations. Requirements Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards. Skilled in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing with appropriate equipment. Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable. Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for minor touch-ups around the facility. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools safely and effectively. Occasionally assist with loading and unloading a box truck or commercial van. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy supplies, standing for long periods, bending, and climbing ladders when necessary.
