Job Purpose:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for BETA employees and visitors. Our Custodian interacts with all team members while working independently with a quality first focus. BETA offers an opportunity to work in a consistent, safe, and stable environment. Summer work hours are Monday

• Thursday, 6:00am
• 3:30pm and 6:00am
• 10:00am on Friday. After Labor Day, work hours return to Monday
• Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

Job Duties:

Facility Cleanliness Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout production and office areas Clean restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and common areas Empty trash and recycling containers Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces Assist with facility setup and teardown for meetings or events Production Area Support Remove dust, debris, and non-hazardous waste from manufacturing areas Clean around machinery and equipment according to safety procedures Help maintain 5S or lean manufacturing standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Keep aisles, walkways, and emergency exits clear Safety and Compliance Follow OSHA and company safety requirements Properly handle and dispose of waste materials Report spills, hazards, damaged equipment, or safety concerns Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely Inventory and Supplies Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and restroom supplies Maintain cleaning equipment and report repair needs

Good attendance and attention to detail Janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred Able to work in a loud, non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment Familiar with industrial safety environment and use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection (BETA will provide or reimburse) Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices Physical Requirements

• using hands to handle, control or feel objects and tools, ability to read written instructions, lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds independently, Able to stand and walk for long periods of time; able to stoop, bend and reach Able to operate floor scrubber BETA offers paid time off, 9 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
