What You'll Do As a full-time Custodian, you'll be responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of campus buildings and surrounding areas. Your work will help ensure our facilities operate smoothly and reflect the high standards of our college community.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, sweep, scrub, and mop floors, stairways, halls, and other surfaces; renovate and renew floor finishes Wash windows, walls, and woodwork Clean and service lavatories and restrooms; sanitize and polish fixtures Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as requested Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, and related furnishings; vacuum and shampoo carpets Sweep walkways, shovel snow from sidewalks and entryways, and maintain orderly exterior premises Maintain flowerpots and rock areas Lock and unlock doors, check for lights left on, open windows as needed, and help provide building security when unoccupied Collect and dispose of wastepaper and other waste materials Perform minor maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment Maintain simple records of cleaning activities Set up meeting rooms and equipment for internal and external groups Perform routine snow removal and lawn care duties Support innovation and continuous improvement within the department and college Perform other related custodial and maintenance duties as assigned
