Job Description

Butler County Health is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Environmental Services Technician to join our team. This position is daytime hours (5:30-2:00pm) with rotating weekends and Holidays. The individual will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting rooms/departments with attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Candidate must be able to perform cleaning duties: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping - wet and dry, cleaning of toilets, showers, sinks, walls, fixtures, windows, etc. Valid driver's license required. EESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
including the following. Other duties may be assigned. Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital's Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities. Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor. 1. Clean and disinfect rooms/departments as assigned. Must be able to perform cleaning duties: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping - wet and dry, cleaning of toilets, showers, sinks, walls, fixtures, windows, etc. 2. Refilling of paper towels, toilet tissue, soap and other supplies; cleaning and restocking of carts. 3. Assist in floor care with ability to use auto scrubber carpet machine. 4. Communicate with environmental services and other ancillary departments. 5. Ability to drive to off-campus facilities to perform cleaning duties as necessary. 6. Assist in QI for environmental services. 7. Maintain Confidentiality. 8. Use Maintenance Help Desk to alert maintenance of issues on the upkeep of the facility. 9. Appropriate barrier protection will always be used in cleaning when exposure to blood and/or body fluids is anticipated. 10. Implementing safe work practices 100% of time to reduce the risk of occupational exposure during all procedures or tasks that involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. 11. Attendance is an essential function of the job 12. Adhere to standard work procedures.
