Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment within our facilities, particularly in a casino setting. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for implementing cleaning protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and promoting best practices in environmental services. Duties Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of all areas within the facility, including patient rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and common spaces. Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain high cleanliness standards. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant health guidelines to promote a safe working environment. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment. Collaborate with team members to develop efficient cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to facility operations. Provide training on proper custodial techniques and environmental services to new staff members. Experience Previous experience in environmental services or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in hospital or commercial cleaning environments. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation is advantageous. Knowledge of sanitation standards and OSHA regulations is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
