  • Variable Hours with Weekends and Holiday's required Job Summary The EVS Assistant Manager assists the EVS Manager in providing direction and leadership to the EVS department.
Responsible for leading the EVS Attendants in conducting their daily duties to meet established standards and guidelines of cleanliness. Duties are consistently performed in accordance with all company, state and federal standards of health and cleanliness. Job Responsibilities Ensures the proper implementation of policies, operating procedures, training programs, directives, work schedules, and labor standards for the department as directed by the EVS Manager. Provides feedback and input to support the updating of departmental policies and procedures to ensure the department runs smoothly. Suggest improvements to the EVS Manager to continuously improve. Ensures all EVS equipment is functioning properly and effectively and reports any necessary preventative maintenance and repairs to the EVS Manager. Assist in the inventory of supplies and submit purchase requisitions as necessary to maintain established par levels. Ensures areas are assigned to EVS Team Members for cleaning and conduct frequent inspections of all public areas. Available to work all shifts to train team members and/or oversee areas of concern when necessary. Assists the EVS Manager in the efficient operation of the Linen process. Conducts inventory and requisitions for linen and uniforms as directed. Conducts Team Member huddles on a consistent basis to ensure Team Members are consistently informed of departmental/property updates, special events and/or promotions. Provides BIG Service to internal guests and ensures their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, and remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset. Develops and maintains professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors. Ensure work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Works safely, including clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintains regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings. Maintains professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday. Assists with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested. Maintains all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines. Inform the manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur. Keeps a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment. Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity. Works independently with little to no supervision or as part of a team is required. Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. Education and Minimum Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks. Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license. Physical/Mental Working Demands Must be able to move in and around the work area throughout the entire workday. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to repeat the same movements. Must be able to engage and interact with all guests appropriately and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced environment. Must be able to successfully communicate on a regular basis with all co-workers, vendors, and guests both in person and over the telephone. Must be able to answer all inquiries and provide assistance and information in a professional and accurate manner. Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, balance, and work the entire property; to include the ability to tolerate changes in temperature, frequent immersion of hands in water, cleaning, and sanitizing solutions Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted and can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
