Year round: Monday thru Friday, 8 hours/day 6:30am-2:30pm

STARTING

July 1, 2026

RATE OF PAY:

$25.09/hour after 90 day probationary period

• Rate will be 5% less than the established rate during the initial probationary period with the School District.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school education or equivalent. One year's experience in janitorial routines. Physical ability to perform assigned duties which includes the ability to walk, bend and stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders, crawl in confined spaces, shovel, work at a minimum height of 15 to 20 feet above ground, lift and carry objects weighing a minimum of 100 lbs. (with assistance) and the ability to work with a variety of cleaning, snow removal and lawn care equipment and products, and construction/maintenance related adhesives and products.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the school building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition. This shall include, but not be limited to, sweeping, mopping, waxing & buffing floors; cleaning glass surfaces; vacuuming and spot cleaning carpeting; cleaning drinking fountains, sinks and toilets; pickup and disposal of rubbish; changing light bulbs/tubes; cleaning cafeteria tables & chairs; cleanup of spills; dusting; raking and other grounds work in the vicinity of the building; performing simple repair of building components; snow removal; and other related duties. Report problems observed in and around the building to Plant Operations. Provide direction to custodians in support of above duties.
