In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of school facilities, ensuring that every corner reflects our commitment to excellence. Your proactive approach to custodial tasks will help foster a positive learning atmosphere and uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and other school areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Handle janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies to ensure a hygienic environment. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, painting walls or surfaces as needed, and assisting with general maintenance tasks. Operate industrial cleaning machinery safely and efficiently for deep cleaning projects or specialized floor care. Assist with porter duties during special events or emergencies to ensure the smooth operation of school activities. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), industrial cleaning methods, and general facilities maintenance. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders safely. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
