The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of various surfaces. Ensure all janitorial supplies are stocked and readily available for use. Assist with minor maintenance tasks and facilities upkeep as needed. Respond to emergency cleaning requests in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including entrances and walkways. Collaborate with school staff to ensure specific cleaning needs are met during events or special activities. Qualifications Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is an asset. Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is highly desirable. Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and facilities upkeep is beneficial. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
