Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Day Porter to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of commercial and residential properties. Your proactive approach will ensure that our spaces remain inviting, hygienic, and well-maintained, creating a positive environment for employees, residents, and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for custodial work and facilities upkeep to make a meaningful impact every day. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene Maintain flooring through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to ensure a polished and professional appearance Assist with industrial cleaning projects and specialized custodial tasks as required for large-scale or high-traffic areas Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues to the appropriate teams Provide porter services including moving furniture or equipment and supporting setup for events or maintenance activities Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain various flooring types Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors confidently and safely Familiarity with residential painting or light maintenance tasks is a plus for multi-skilled support roles Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments Ability to work independently while following safety guidelines and company policies Join us in creating clean, safe, and welcoming environments!
