Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Custodian/Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate attention to detail, and contribute to a positive atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas according to health and safety standards Use specialized equipment for floor care such as buffing machines, floor scrubbers, and polishers to restore shine and prolong flooring life Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues for prompt resolution Assist with industrial cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as needed to uphold high standards of hygiene Support facilities maintenance activities including basic painting touch-ups or minor repairs in residential or commercial settings Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored while adhering to safety protocols Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors Familiarity with custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning chemicals Ability to perform custodial tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods Experience in facilities maintenance or residential painting is a plus but not required Join us in creating a pristine environment where everyone feels comfortable and valued!
