Position Summary The Custodian plays a critical role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities across multiple Isles properties. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, light maintenance, and event setup in offices, classrooms, training centers, and community spaces. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean floors, carpets, windows, walls, and surfaces using proper equipment Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly Restock cleaning and restroom supplies and monitor inventory Empty trash and recycling bins and properly dispose of waste Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for events and meetings Perform minor maintenance tasks (light bulbs, fixtures, reporting repairs) Ensure buildings are secure at the end of each shift Provide seasonal support (snow removal, leaf cleanup, outdoor maintenance) Assist with deliveries, moving supplies, and transporting materials Use eco-friendly cleaning practices aligned with Isles' sustainability mission Additional Responsibilities Conduct walkthroughs to identify safety hazards Maintain cleaning logs and daily checklists Support program setup for meetings and training sessions Assist during special events (setup, logistics, vendor support) Organize custodial supplies and maintain equipment Respond to on-site facility issues or emergencies Assist with painting, wall patching, and minor facility improvements Interact professionally with staff, volunteers, and visitors Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience strongly preferred Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or on a team Flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional evenings or weekends may be required Work Environment This role involves both indoor and outdoor work and may include exposure to cleaning products, dust, and seasonal weather conditions. Travel between Isles properties in Trenton may be required. Pay:

$17.50 - $22.00 per hour
