PRIMARY PURPOSE
This position is accountable for the daily removal and disposal of tenant trash. Trash will be left in the rear service corridors behind each tenant space. This position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the truck tunnel, tenant dumpsters, and operating a trash compactor.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Daily removal of tenant trash located in service corridors behind tenant spaces. shopping center. Operate compactors for trash disposal. Operate pressure washer to maintain tunnel cleanliness. Removal and compaction of all compactor areas that may require additional clean up. Assist other departments, including but not limited to, Marketing to clean and patrol during events Establish procedures to insure completion of scheduled cleaning of different areas of the facility Maintain a professional, cooperative working relationship with management and all co-workers Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (i.e. OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment Ensure the appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, cleaning supplies, equipment and tools are maintained Notes damaged or missing property, missing trash containers, and other problems and notifies supervisor May perform additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Technical School certifications and/or training preferred Ability to read and interpret documents and comprehend instructions. Ability to effectively present information to departmental management, employees, tenants, and outside contacts Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form Ability to define problems, collect information, and establish facts Self-starter with ability to work independently and multi-task Knowledge of safety rules, hazards, and application of accident prevention measures Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Valid Driver's License Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
