$17 hour We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Machine Cleaning / Sanitation Technician to support operations within a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all equipment, machinery, and production areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in compliance with strict food safety, GMP, and HACCP standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning or sanitation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and chemicals while following established procedures, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems. Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of production equipment, machinery, floors, and facility grounds Execute and monitor Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes using plant touch screen systems Follow all food safety protocols, HACCP guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to labeling and manufacturer specifications Utilize a variety of tools including mops, brooms, squeegees, scrapers, and brushes Maintain cleanliness in production and packaging areas to meet regulatory standards Perform general sanitation and janitorial duties, including waste removal and facility upkeep Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in sanitation, industrial cleaning, or manufacturing environments preferred Familiarity with or ability to learn CIP systems, HACCP, and GMP standards Ability to read and follow chemical labels and sanitation procedures Experience using industrial cleaning tools and equipment Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and compliance Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks Comfortable working in wet, cold, or fast-paced production environments Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated production environments Knowledge of sanitation chemicals such as chlorinated cleaners or industrial detergents Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay Shore, NY.
