Sanitation Worker

We are seeking a Sanitation / Plant Cleaner to support daily cleaning and sanitation operations within a food manufacturing facility. This position is for the overnight shift. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant production environment by following GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. Effectively clean and sanitize all assigned areas inside and outside the manufacturing plant, including equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and general grounds Follow food safety, GMP, and HACCP standards at all times Operate plant touch screens and execute CIP (Clean‑in‑Place) procedures as required Safely and properly use cleaning tools such as squeegees, mops, brooms, hand and floor scrapers, paint brushes, and rollers Read and understand labeling on cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and materials Maintain cleanliness in production, packaging, and common areas to support food production and safety compliance Adhere to all safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in sanitation, janitorial, or general labor roles preferred Prior exposure to food production or manufacturing environments is a plus Knowledge of or ability to follow GMP and food safety practices Comfortable performing physical work in a production setting Basic ability to operate touch‑screen equipment and follow written procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay Shore, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
