Full Job Description Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

Keep buildings and grounds clean to ensure an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, stairwells, restrooms, gymnasium, etc...as well as cleaning of equipment Move and arrange furniture in classrooms and school areas daily and for special events. Distribute supplies and equipment throughout the school in a timely manner as needed (i.e., toilet paper/paper towels in restrooms). Assist in maintaining seasonal grounds work (snow, lawn). Perform routine maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Trash removal and disposal Understand and follow school safety procedures. Other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/G.E.D. and/or equivalent applicable work experience Urban school setting experience preferred Ability to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including a high percentage of standing/walking (90-95%), pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, and stretching to clean school and external grounds.
