Full Job Description Custodian Job Summary:

Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center, a 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a skilled and motivated Custodian to join our evening shift team. With over 100 years of experience, we provide personalized care that makes a real difference in our community. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing Cleaning and Janitorial duties.

Responsibilities:

Answer calls Perform general facility cleaning (rooms, corridors, offices, public areas) Maintain floor care: mopping, stripping, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet shampooing Clean stairwells, windows, dust high and low surfaces, and sanitize restrooms Clean floor mats and kitchen/pantry areas Mix chemical cleaners as directed Operate and maintain cleaning equipment Assist with basic maintenance tasks (TV issues, bed issues, minor floods, etc.) Sidewalk snow removal and salting Collaborate with interdepartmental staff to ensure residents' needs are met Seek and implement improved methods and practices

Compensation and Schedule:

FIxed Rate:

$21.00/Hour Full Time, 37.5 hours

3pm-11pm

Fairport, NY Requirements:

Previous floor cleaning experience is a plus Ability to lift and move equipment and work in varying weather conditions Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
