Job Description
Fern & Aurora is seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery environment. This position is responsible for dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and supporting the team by keeping all work areas clean and ready for service. Responsibilities Wash dishes, sheet pans, mixing bowls, utensils, and bakery equipment. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, prep, and customer areas throughout the day. Clean and sanitize tables, counters, shelves, and work surfaces. Sweep and mop floors. Take out trash and recycling and maintain waste stations. Restock ingredients, packaging, cleaning supplies, and other inventory as needed. Organize storage areas, shelves, walk-ins, and supply rooms. Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries. Perform scheduled deep cleaning tasks, including walls, equipment exteriors, refrigerators, freezers, and hard-to-reach areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Support the bakery team with general cleaning and organizational tasks as needed. Qualifications Ability to work independently and efficiently. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Previous porter, dishwasher, janitorial, or restaurant experience is a plus but not required. Schedule Part-time. Weekend availability preferred. Compensation Starting at $17 per hour plus tips
