399767 Job Description We are seeking a Sanitation Associate (Industrial Food Processing) to join our team at the LOL facility. The role centers on disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of food-processing equipment and product transfer systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with sanitation of kettles and piping, safe chemical handling, and a consistent track record of meeting cleaning cycle time targets.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize large kettles, piping, and filling equipment used to process pudding and related products. Dismantle and reassemble plumbing systems and equipment per SSOPs to ensure thorough sanitation. Use chemicals, power washers, and appropriate PPE to remove residues and maintain hygienic conditions. Meet cleaning cycle expectations, including kettle cleaning in approximately 60-75 minutes once trained. Follow SSOPs and CIP procedures, including milk silo cleaning, and support QA swab verification standards. Handle and dilute chemicals correctly and maintain documentation, including master sanitation schedules and daily forms. Respond to sanitation-related emergencies and provide guidance and training to peers as applicable. Fill in for departmental absences as needed and adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude to dismantle and reassemble equipment and product transfer systems. Ability to read and follow written and oral sanitation procedures, including SSOPs and
MSDS/SDS
guidance. Experience with safe chemical handling, dilution, and use of power washers and sanitation tools. Fluency in reading and writing in either English or Spanish due to onsite safety requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with CIP operations and milk silo cleaning procedures. Experience in food manufacturing sanitation and QA verification processes.
Equipment & Tools:
Power washers, hand tools for disassembly, special protective boots, and required PPE. PC, proprietary software, telephone, and other office equipment for documentation. Various lab equipment and kettle enabling systems as applicable.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Standing for the entire shift and regular lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures occasionally and production noise throughout the shift. Steel toe shoes required.
Schedule & Pay:
Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours subject to business needs. Schedules could include weekends.
Pay Rate:
$23 per hour.
