Warehouse Janitor

Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Janitor to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the environment safe, organized, and spotless, ensuring a clean and efficient space for staff and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum warehouse floors and office areas as needed. Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company policy. Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.). Dust surfaces, racks, and fixtures to prevent debris build-up. Clean spills or hazardous materials promptly using proper procedures. Operate floor cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report restocking needs. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company protocols. Assist with light maintenance tasks as assigned.

Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures. Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies. Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), standing, walking, bending, stooping and kneeling for extended periods. Climbing ladders, reaching and using hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment.

Work Environment:

Warehouse environment with varying temperatures. May be exposed to dust, noise, and occasional heavy lifting. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided as necessary.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a warehouse or industrial setting is a plus. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets (SDS). Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations is preferred. Dependable and punctual.
