Description We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter/Cleaner to maintain apartment buildings in Long Beach, NY. This position includes weekend cleaning responsibilities and weekday coverage as needed for employee call-outs, vacations, or schedule gaps.

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, stairwells, lobbies, laundry rooms, and entrances Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect building surfaces Remove trash and recycling from common areas and designated collection points Clean glass doors, windows, elevators, and other shared spaces Monitor building cleanliness and report maintenance issues or safety concerns Restock cleaning supplies as needed Assist with apartment turnovers and special cleaning projects when required Ensure buildings remain clean, safe, and presentable for residents and visitors

Requirements:

Previous cleaning, porter, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical cleaning tasks Flexible availability for weekends and weekday fill-in shifts Strong attention to detail and professional attitude
