Job Description
Job Overview The New York Athletic Club, one of the world's premier private clubs, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cabana Porter to join our vibrant hospitality team for the summer of 2026! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face ensuring our guests experience seamless service from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the cabanas, while providing exceptional support to both guests and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our guest experience, contributing to a lively and welcoming atmosphere that keeps everyone coming back for more. Duties Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cabanas, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and showers, and ensuring all areas are tidy and inviting Communicate effectively with cabana and ground maintenance staff and management to coordinate guest needs and ensure timely service Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with a positive attitude, demonstrating excellent customer service skills Uphold health and safety standards by following proper cleaning protocols Requirements Previous experience in housekeeping, maintenance, and/or environmental services is highly preferred Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining sanitary conditions Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive demeanor Prior private club industry experience will be considered an asset Join us as a Cabana Porter and become an essential part of creating memorable experiences for our guests!
