We're seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our back-of-house team at The Pelican Room, an exciting new restaurant opening soon in Pelham, NY. Just 28 minutes from Grand Central Station, we're a coffee house by day and a full-service restaurant by night, serving an eclectic international menu, including brick oven pizza and an elevated beverage program. As a Dishwasher & Porter, you play a critical role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly, cleanly, and safely. You'll support our chefs and cooks by ensuring all equipment, utensils, and workspaces are spotless and ready for service.

What We're Looking For:
A strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically active work. A positive attitude and a team-first mentality.Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize all kitchenware, dishes, and cooking tools using commercial dishwashing equipment. Keep kitchen stations clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed. Support the team by helping wherever needed—whether restocking or deep cleaning. Adhere to all health and safety protocols and ensure the kitchen meets cleanliness standards. Taking out trash and recycling regularly and efficiently Bathrooms (restocking supplies, cleaning, and upkeep throughout shifts) Back-of-house and storage areas Sweeping and mopping floors as needed This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team and help lay the foundation for something special.
