Full Time Position Summary:
Rome Health is seeking a reliable and dedicated Environmental Services Technician Team Lead to join our facilities maintenance team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. The Team Lead will oversee and support a team of Environmental Services Technicians to ensure that all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and up to the highest standards. You will be responsible for supervising daily cleaning activities, training new team members, and managing inventory to maintain a smooth workflow in our healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Environmental Services Technicians in daily cleaning tasks and ensure all duties are performed effectively and according to established guidelines. Train new staff on best practices for cleaning and safety protocols, and provide ongoing support to improve team performance. Assign cleaning areas and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including mops, vacuums, buckets, wringers, and other tools. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that facilities meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning schedules. Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to perform their duties. Address any issues or concerns from staff or management regarding cleaning tasks. Maintain a positive and professional work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and safety.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Previous experience in a cleaning role, with preference for experience in healthcare or institutional settings. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, and other cleaning tools safely. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
