Preventive Maintenance Technician - Cleaner

Job description The Hotel Preventive Maintenance Technician/Cleaner is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing building systems and equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns. They ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests by proactively maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

Responsibilities:

Routine Inspections:

Conduct regular, scheduled checks of guest rooms, meeting spaces, and facility exteriors to identify issues before they impact guests.

System Maintenance:

Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC units, hot water heaters, and pool pumps.

General Repairs:

Handle minor carpentry, drywall patching, painting, and fixture repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, fixing door locks, and repairing sinks).

Record Keeping:

Log all completed maintenance tasks, track equipment service history, and report major issues to hotel engineering management.

Guest Requests:

Assist in responding to maintenance-related guest requests

Qualifications:
