Job Description
Marion St. Mary School is a PK-8 Catholic School located in downtown Marion, attached to St. Mary Church. We are blessed to serve a student population of approximately 150 young scholars. We prize our faith, our academics, and our diversity. All students in our school receive an education geared toward forming disciples of Christ who are strong, courageous, and do all things in love. We invite you to be a part of our mission. We are seeking an Day Building Custodian . The position involves caring for multiple buildings on the school/church campus as part of a facilities team. The position's hours would be 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We hope to find someone who is dedicated to creating a safe, warm, clean environment for students and staff. Skills in cleaning and light maintenance. Vacuum carpets, mop floors. Take out trash, clean restrooms, including, fill toilet paper and soap dispensers. Outside maintenance as needed including removal of snow from sidewalks. Follow a scheduled routine for daily, monthly, and yearly maintenance. Self-starter with time management and people skills. Must successfully complete a background check, and, "Protecting Gods' Children" training. Facilities include a Church, Grade School, and Commons building used for meetings. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Other duties as assigned. Part time, 25-28 hours per week.
