Gym Staff Member

Overview We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Gym Staff Member to join our team and work our Friday and Sunday shifts. This position is all about keeping the gym clean, organized, and welcoming for our members. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative, stays busy without needing constant direction, and takes pride in creating a safe and spotless environment. Being detail-oriented, outgoing, and member-focused is essential—you'll play a big part in making sure members feel valued every time they walk through our doors. Must be available 3 PM to 7PM on Wednesdays and 7:45 AM to 5PM on Sundays Key Responsibilities Cleaning and Facility Upkeep Perform daily cleaning tasks including wiping down and sanitizing equipment, vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash, and cleaning mirrors, bathrooms, and locker rooms. Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap throughout the facility. Stay proactive in identifying areas that need cleaning or organizing without waiting to be told. Maintain a safe, hazard-free environment by keeping equipment and common areas neat and orderly. Pay close attention to detail to ensure the facility is spotless and inviting. Customer Service & Member Support Greet members with a friendly and professional attitude, making them feel welcome and valued. Be outgoing and approachable, creating a positive atmosphere within the gym. Assist members with simple needs such as locating equipment or answering basic questions. Promote a clean, comfortable, and supportive environment that encourages members to return. Other Duties Organize and tidy weights, bands, and other gym equipment throughout shifts. Monitor facility needs and communicate with management if repairs or supplies are required. Support the team with any additional tasks that help keep the gym running smoothly. Requirements Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive without constant supervision. Dependable, responsible, and motivated to do a great job every shift. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. Outgoing and friendly personality with great people skills. Must be willing to stay off your phone during work hours and remain engaged in tasks. Ability to work on your feet, perform physical tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs. Previous cleaning, customer service, or gym experience is a plus but not required. Join Our Team!
