This position performs custodial, light maintenance, groundskeeping, and event support duties while working cooperatively with administration, faculty, staff, and parish personnel. The Custodian helps ensure that all facilities are properly maintained and prepared for daily use, special events, and emergency situations. Duties Cleaning and maintaining classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, cafeteria, and common areas. Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting assigned areas. Emptying trash and recycling receptacles daily. Restocking restroom and classroom supplies. Assisting with cleaning and maintaining the church and parish facilities as needed. Performing minor maintenance and repair tasks. Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for school and parish events. Assisting with snow removal and emergency situations when needed. Monitoring facility conditions and reporting maintenance concerns. Helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, families, and parishioners. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Previous custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience is preferred but not required. Be able to work with minimal supervision. Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Be comfortable working around children and interacting positively with students. Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Possess basic maintenance and custodial skills.
