Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure our spaces are well-kept and functional. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and common spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors using manual and powered equipment Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, windowsills, and fixtures Refill supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers Use cleaning chemicals and solutions safely and in accordance with instructions and safety standards Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers (when needed) Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to management Follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality standards Maintain storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within required time frames Comply with all company and safety policies Maintain consistent and reliable attendance Other duties or tasks as assigned Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Familiarity with cleaning supplies Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety standards Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Career growth opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short term disability, term life insurance, and additional voluntary benefit options 100% employer paid group life and AD&D insurance 401(k) with employer matching program Annual paid time off (PTO) Family-friendly atmosphere About Us Since 1929, Whiteford Kenworth has been dedicated to assisting customers with their transportation needs.
