Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Part-time Custodial Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Technician Lead for cleaning and maintaining the Church's facility. The individuals in this position are responsible for day to day cleaning of church facilities and set ups. It is the responsibility of the Custodians to ensure that the facilities are cleaned and sanitized in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety. The successful candidates carry out these functions in a helpful and cheerful manner to all who enter or contact the Church, while meeting the needs of staff, guests, volunteers, and congregants. The Part-time Custodial position can often be physically demanding. Candidates must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting, operating medium weight cleaning equipment such as floor buffers; sweeping and mopping floors and moving furniture, emptying and carrying trash bags and other disposable materials to the outside receptacles; climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. The position requires the successful candidate to be able to lift up to 50lbs and to be able to move chairs, tables, and other furniture without assistance.DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- High School or GED Diploma - Technical or College coursework (preferred)
- One to three years related experience is desired but not required.
- Knowledge of technical skills, including but not limited to the following: building cleaning procedures, repair of facility fixtures, preventative maintenance procedures, basic landscaping.
- Ability to lift and pull 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to interact with staff, vendors, and church visitors.
- Willingness to be on-call to respond to emergencies, as needed.

- Set up and tear down of rooms for events (tables, chairs, etc.)
- Maintenance
- Overall Property Aesthetics
- Building and Grounds Maintenance
- Other duties as directed by the Maintenance Tech Lead and/or Executive Pastor.
