Environmental Services Technician - Days Lindsay, OK 73052
Full-time Full-time Schedule:
Thursday -
Monday Job Summary:
Dusts, dry mops, and cleans items such as medicine cabinets, furniture, metals, mirrors, and equipment. Vacuums blinds, screens and vents. Performs miscellaneous duties such as replenishing supplies. Sterilizes rooms after isolation.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Adapts to changing environment, i.e., staffing patterns and assignments. 2. Adheres to attendance and dependability standards and uses hospital time conscientiously. 3. Promotes and maintains a positive image of the department and hospital. Adheres to dress code. 4. Cleans patient care areas as assigned following established departmental procedures. 5. Cleans patient rooms at time of discharge in a timely manner to expedite admissions. 6. Cleans special areas as assigned following established departmental procedures, i.e., isolation rooms, surgery, etc. 7. Cleans office areas as assigned. 8. Collects and disposes of regulated medical waste following departmental procedures. 9. Cleans linen shelves before clean linen is restocked. 10. Removes soiled linen following universal precautions. 11. Cleans and restocks cleaning carts and utility closets daily. 12. Utilizes cleaning supplies properly and does not waste products. 13. Checks and maintains equipment and tools for proper operation. 14. Completes all required training and education. 15. Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor. Job Specification
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate or GED. Housekeeping experience preferred in a healthcare setting.
Education/Training:
High School Graduate or GED.
Skills:
Maintains a high degree of credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Work requires frequent standing and traversing. Work requires frequent walking, stooping/bending, climbing, and lifting up to 30lbs.
