Job Description USA Today Top Workplace! Joe Cooper Ford of Shawnee is accepting applications for a Service Department Lot Attendant / Porter. The Lot Attendant/Porter helps ensure complete customer satisfaction by moving vehicles in and around the service area/lot, maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and the service area, delivering vehicles to customers after service is complete, and transporting customers to/from their home when needed. The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast paced environment, and a valid driver's license. Candidates must have a positive attitude and must be able to safely maneuver vehicles in tight and small spaces. Previous experience not required.
Responsibilities:
Drives vehicles to and from service areas and lot as needed Installs protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, etc.) and tags in all vehicles brought in for service Services vehicles with gas, oil, and air as needed Helps maintain lot and shop appearance Transports customers to and from their home when needed and requested Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards Follows all safety and security procedures Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces Highly professional and dependable Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Able to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer and internet skills Experience in a similar role a plus Additional Information Benefits for full time employees include but are not limited to: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, EAP, 401(k), PTO, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Employee Discounts Cooper Auto Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status.
