Pie Shop Custodian/Janitor

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and food-safe environment throughout the bakery. This role focuses on sanitation of workspaces, equipment, and customer areas to ensure compliance with health regulations and to support daily bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, counters, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in kitchen, storage, and front-of-house areas Wash dishes, baking tools, trays, and utensils as needed Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper waste disposal Clean restrooms and customer seating areas Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of ovens, mixers, and display cases Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous janitorial, cleaning, or food service experience is a plus Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety practices preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods Ability to lift to 40 pounds Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks

From $12.50 per hour
