Janitor

Job Description Summary The Industrial Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in industrial or manufacturing facilities. This includes cleaning production break areas, restrooms, offices, and other areas as designated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize production floors, equipment exteriors, and facility entrances. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors using industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floorscrubbers, buffers). Clean and restock restrooms, locker rooms, and break areas. Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to proper disposal areas. Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas as scheduled. Follow proper handling and usage of chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of low stock. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly. Operate cleaning machinery safely and maintain equipment in working condition.
