This position is responsible for greeting customers, performing vehicle walk-arounds, managing vehicle staging, and maintaining dealership appearance standards. The Lot Attendant plays a key role in service lane operations by helping technicians, advisors, and porters keep vehicles moving safely and on time.
Functional Skills & Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and courteously as they arrive in the service drive. Perform quick exterior walk-arounds to note existing damage when requested. Assist Service Advisors with lane organization and vehicle intake flow. Move customer vehicles to designated parking or technician stalls as directed. Retrieve vehicles for customer pickup in a timely, professional manner. Install protective materials (seat covers, steering wheel covers, mats) per dealership policy. Safely park, stage, and relocate vehicles across the service lot, storage areas, and parking structures. Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety protocols regarding test drive routes, EV handling, and hybrid vehicle procedures. Maintain clear pathways and ensure compliance with fire lane and ADA parking requirements. Monitor and report any vehicle damage, malfunction, or safety concerns immediately. Maintain cleanliness of the service drive, customer waiting areas, and exterior walkways. Empty trash, wipe down surfaces, and ensure the service lane is presentable throughout the day. Assist with fueling vehicles, topping off fluids, checking tire pressures, or basic prep as assigned. Maintain cleanliness of the service drive, customer waiting areas, and exterior walkways. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to drive manual transmission preferred. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Professional appearance and positive customer service attitude. Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously during an 8-hour shift. Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including EVs and SUVs. High level of ethical standards and compliance adherence. Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable working in high-traffic environments Fast-paced dealership service drive.
