Job Description

Swing and Grave shift position (shift differential included) Job Summary Clean and sanitize production line with special consideration for all product contact surfaces and growth niches. Efficiently utilize available resources to ensure product contact surfaces are in conformance with all Oregon Potato Company Food Safety, Quality, and sanitation and environment standards. Duties & Responsibilities Essential Follow Food Safety, Quality, Personal Safety, and any other Oregon Potato Company's Polices. Monitor cleanliness of all areas and take immediate action in areas that are not as clean as they could be. Notify management of any production, safety, quality or environment concerns within the facility. Communicate and take direction from Shift Supervisor/Sanitation Lead during plant cleaning time. Constantly monitor sanitation issues and correct as directed. Maintain high level of awareness within the plant and address any safety issues during the shift. All product waste should be reported to production Shift Supervisor/Line Lead. Work with all other departments to ensure good communication and teamwork. Required to understand and perform daily and monthly sanitation requirements for all products and to perform at speed to meet required deadlines. Required to monitor and control use of cleaning chemicals. Required to wear proper protective equipment and make sure all G.M.P.'s are being followed. Required to ensure product is not compromised by any chemicals which are unsafe for product contact. Maintain a level of cleanliness that is consistent with the operation of an Food Safety certified food plant. Minimize waste and maximize the effectiveness of all cleaning chemicals and sanitizers. Ensure safe applications are always followed and fellow employees are not placed in harms way. Required under direction of production to perform line duties when necessary to help with overall production of facility.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMP's and maintain a clean, safe and sanitary workplace. Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated or compromised.
  • Comply with plant security by ensuring that doors are locked and closed behind you. Report any suspicious activities to your Supervisor immediately. Enter only through the main employee entrance area or other controlled entrances.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Additional Review and report to the Supervisor any improvements needed due to safety, quality, mechanical, material, sanitary or operational issues. Work priorities are to keep the facility in a constant state of cleanliness with continuous cleaning. Cleaning of plant during times of shutdown when extended hours may be required. Ensure procedure and operational guidelines are followed on shift. Sanitation and waste removal as directed by Shift Supervisor or Line Operator. Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeat ably.
