Job Description

Sterling Management Group is currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our Maintenance Team in the role of
TRAVELING
Porter/Maintenance. As a Porter/Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.

  • As a Porter/Maintenance, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintenance and upkeep within our facilities.
This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and attention to detail. We are seeking a dedicated Porter to join our team. This
TRAVELING
Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within several multi-family properties, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents. This work will take place both inside and outdoors.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Handle waste and recycling removal
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and common areas
  • Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies effectively
  • Follow safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals
  • Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs and upkeep
  • Handle custodial duties to uphold cleanliness standards
  • Properly sort through co-mingled trash issues and break down cardboard, as necessary
  • Support residential painting projects when required
  • Maintain exterior flatwork (mossy sidewalks, etc.)
  • Dispose of abandoned property Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Porter or in commercial cleaning is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Willingness to perform various tasks related to facilities and property upkeep
  • Must have a Valid Oregon Drivers' License
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • The job will require daily driving, to multiple properties.
