Graduation from high school or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Six (6) months or more experience as a custodian with an industrial, janitorial firm, or commercial business and thorough knowledge of custodial materials and methods.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a busy aquatic, gym, recreation, event, or other active public-facing facility environment.Available Schedule:
Friday- Sunday, 10:00 AM
- 6:30 PM Compensation & Information on Benefits The anticipated hiring range for the Custodian position is $20.

Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) retirement contributions paid by employer for part-time, year-round positions. Paid sick leave- one (1) hour accrued for every 30 hours worked.
Position:
Cleans, sanitizes, and disinfects restrooms, break rooms and all public spaces. Stock custodial closets with appropriate supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops (wet and dry) a variety of flooring materials Dusts furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment. Washes windows, mirrors and walls, tables, and chairs. Empties and disposes of collected waste, recycled goods and other materials. Adheres to safety practices and standards when performing all duties Event support including set up and breakdown. Other Functions of thePosition:
Scope of assigned area will depend on departmental and/or citywide operational structure and is at the discretion of the Supervisor. Performs a variety of minor routine building maintenance tasks; identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities. Keep all equipment and tools in good operational condition. Upholds the values of the organization and has strong customer service orientation. Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to complete considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job. Occasionally walks up and down multiple levels of steps and building levels while carrying supplies.
