Job Description

JOB Discover Medford:
Employment, Applicant Support, and Benefits within Our Vibrant CityJoin the team that helps keep Medford's parks clean, safe, and welcoming. As a full-time Park Custodian, you'll travel an assigned route to clean and maintain park restrooms and facilities, restock supplies, address graffiti and light maintenance needs, and help ensure public spaces are ready for the community to enjoy. This is an active, hands-on role that works outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and requires reliability, attention to detail, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently while supporting the larger Park Maintenance team. Required Education and Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; andSix (6) months or more experience as a custodian with an industrial, janitorial firm, or commercial business and thorough knowledge of custodial materials and methods.
Available Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday, 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position is part of the AFSCME employee group. Learn more about our benefits HERE. The anticipated hiring range for the Park Custodian position is $20.70 (first step) to $21.74 or $22.82 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
