Job Summary:

The janitorial Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment during regular business hours. This role supports the daily operations of the facility by addressing immediate cleaning needs, restocking supplies, responding to service requests, and ensuring common areas remain presentable throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas including lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, hallways and entrances. 2. Perform continuous touch-point cleaning (door handles, elevator buttons, counters, etc.). 3. Restock restroom supplies, empty trash/recycling bins, and wipe glass doors/windows. 4. Respond promptly to on-site cleaning requests and spills to maintain safety and appearance. 5. Report maintenance and safety issues to supervisor. 6. Providing excellent customer service to building staff and visitors.

Qualifications:

1. A personal and functioning smart phone with the ability to download and use an automated timekeeping system. 2. Previous janitorial, custodial, or porter experience preferred (but not required). 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 4. Strong communication and customer service skills. 5. The candidate is reliable, punctual, and able to follow established cleaning protocols. 6. Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Daytime schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Work is performed in an office and manufacturing facility environment.

Additional Requirements:

1. Must adhere to company safety standards (including work attire). 2. Must have proper PPE (steel-toed boots required) at job site. 3. Ability to pass background check including E-Verify screening to confirm eligibility to work in the U.S. 4. Candidates are subject to 90-day probationary period upon acceptance of employment.
