PART-TIME CUSTODIAN 2ND SHIFT
at the Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. Southern Lehigh School District (SLSD) custodians promote and follow all work safety guidance policies, procedures and protocols, including attending required meetings and training related to workplace safety practices and use of equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to building Head Custodian (1st level) and the Director of Support Services (2nd level). Follow all safety rules and directives without exception. Performs custodial maintenance duties, including trash removal, dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms. Setting up and breaking down of facilities for special events. Snow removal is a District priority and all custodial staff are expected to report to work as directed by the Head Custodian and Director of Support Services. Seasonal grass cutting may be required. Secure the building as directed. Safe handling, use and measurement of chemicals. Maintain clean and orderly supply, storage, and custodial closets and carts. Ability to work as a team as well as independently on specific tasks. Must be able to organize and handle multiple tasks. Must exercise good judgment and be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented. Have knowledge and experience in custodial services or cleaning occupations and the use of chemicals approved for use in public facilities. Knowledge of operation of power clean equipment (floor scrubber, stripping machines, vacuums, etc...) Ability to use hands and arms to reach and pick up objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to be on their feet for multiple hours in a row and have the ability to bend, stoop, squat, and reach overhead. Comfort with climbing ladders up to 12 ft high.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Selected candidates must be able to produce valid [1] PA State Criminal Record Check (ACT 34) , [2] FBI Criminal History Record Investigation (ACT 114), [3] PA DHS Child Abuse History Clearance (ACT 151). and [4] PA Arrest/Conviction Report Certification Form (ACT 24) all within one year of issue at the time of hire .
COMPENSATION
$25.34 per hour. Limited paid leave benefits (sick, personal days). These positions do not include health insurance.
