Job Summary / Basic Function The custodial worker 1 has the responsibility of cleaning a building or a particular area of the building(s). Performs custodial duties, including but not limited:
Dusts mops, wet mops, buffs, waxes floors.
Vacuums and shampoos carpeting.
Washes windows and walls,
Dusts and washes furniture.
Washes white and black boards.
Change light bulbs reasonable height.
Empties wastebaskets carries all trash to the pickup area.
Cleans and disinfects bathrooms, including mirrors, hand bowls, toilets, walls, showers and floors.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Shovel snow entrances.
Collects and disposes of debris around buildings.
Reports need repairs in bis/her area to the immediate supervisor.
Keep a stock of cleaning supplies by placing order with immediate supervisor.

Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary No minimum qualifications
Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED
Previous custodial experience preferred
Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 501bs.from the floor to shoulder height (1/3 of the time).
Must be able to carry up to 100lbs. via team lift, (1/3 of the time). Must be able to push/pull up to 50lbs. (1/3of the time)
Additional requirements include bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching out and up, wrist-turning, grasping, pinching and finger manipulation (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)
Work Location Edinboro Campus
Is travel to other PennWest campuses required for this position? If so, how often? Work Hours Wednesday-Sunday - 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
