Job Description
Team Toyota of Glen Mills is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated Service Shop Custodian to maintain the cleanliness, organization, appearance, and high standards of our service department. This position is responsible for taking ownership of the overall appearance and cleanliness of our shop, technician locker room, technician restrooms, etc.. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean and professional work environment for our technicians and staff. Key Responsibilities Operate commercial floor scrubbing equipment to maintain clean and safe shop floors Sweep, scrub, and maintain service department floors throughout the day Clean and sanitize technician restrooms daily Clean and maintain technician locker room and break areas Empty trash and recycling containers before reaching capacity Remove scrap metal, discarded parts, cardboard, and other shop waste from service areas and dispose of materials in designated recycling containers and scrap dumpsters Remove oil dry, debris, and other hazards from work areas and walkways Maintain shop appearance standards throughout the day Restock restroom, locker room, and cleaning supplies as needed Assist with organization and cleanliness of shop storage areas Perform periodic deep-cleaning projects and facility upkeep Report facility maintenance concerns to management Follow all dealership safety procedures and policies Position Expectations The Service Shop Custodian is expected to take ownership of the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the service department's shop. This position is responsible for ensuring that shop floors, work areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and common employee areas remain clean, organized, safe, and presentable throughout the day. Successful candidates will be proactive, self-directed, and able to identify areas that require attention without constant supervision. This is not simply a cleaning position—it is a role dedicated to maintaining the standards and appearance of our service operation.
