Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment. Conduct detailed janitorial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces. Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care procedures to ensure safety and appearance. Carry out custodial responsibilities such as window washing, furniture cleaning, and restroom sanitation with precision. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, light bulb replacements, and equipment upkeep. Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning needs as required for the school's operational standards. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a secure environment for everyone on campus. Requirements Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments with a strong background in custodial work. Knowledge of janitorial procedures including floor care techniques such as buffing and stripping. Prior experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is highly desirable. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with buffing machines preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks effectively. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to collaborate with staff and support school operations.
