Part-Time Custodian

Facilities Custodian (Part-Time) Huntingdon County Library The Huntingdon County Library is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our community. Position Overview This part-time position is responsible for routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and occasional groundskeeping. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and takes pride in their work. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning of public and staff areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, etc.) Manage trash and recycling, including curbside pickup Complete periodic deep-cleaning tasks (windows, carpets, ceiling fans, etc.) Perform minor repairs (basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting) Maintain cleaning and maintenance supplies Assist with light groundskeeping, including mowing and seasonal upkeep Assist with moving materials, furniture, and deliveries Follow safety procedures and report maintenance needs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Child Abuse and PA State Police Clearances are required before start date Experience with cleaning and basic maintenance preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment Schedule & Details Part-time, flexible work hours How to Apply To apply, please email a resume and brief cover letter to library@huntingdonlibrary.org or stop by the library to complete an application in person.
