Job Description

This Job Coach (Director Support Professionals) is assigned and is responsible for providing direct care/job coaching for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or Mental Health (MH) Disabilities. They report to the Director of Small Group Employment. Job Coach uses techniques to help individuals learn to perform job tasks to specifications and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as a worker at a job site and in related community contacts. The job coach is also responsible for the provision of instruction, training, and assistance that support the individuals in attaining the specific outcomes found in their Individual Support Plans. Department Supervisory Responsibilities Ensure the safety of the clients first and foremost Basic knowledge of Janitorial work Follow the weekly cleaning schedule Communicate quality issues to management Responsible for securing customer work sites (unlocking buildings, disarming and arming alarms, relocking building when job is complete) Recommend improvement of the cleaning process to management Job Care, preferred Job Duties Possess a valid driver's license Transport clients, equipment and supplies to customer sites daily in a Lark vehicle. Supervise the loading and unloading of van Fueling Lark vehicle as needed Light vacuum maintenance (changing bags, drive belts, etc) on the job site. Should the crew be short staffed or behind schedule the Job Coach may, at their discretion, assist with cleaning tasks.
Employment Requirements:
Valid Driver's License At a minimum high school diploma or GED Will be required to obtain Criminal and Child Abuse Clearance Will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment.
